5 notesSebastian stood back with wide eyes as he watched Harmony walk toward him, barely inclining his head to acknowledge her as she uttered those three words. This moment felt surreal, almost like something out of his dreams. To have her be gone on minute, then suddenly back the next—it was far too good to be true. When he blinked, there she was, Harmony, his Penny, was not not an illusion but actually standing before him, safe and alive. When she whispered in a broken voice that she hated herself, tears falling from her eyes, Sebastian finally managed to snap out of his thoughts and pull her in his arms.“No, don’t be.” She seemed a lot smaller than he remembered. Harmony had always appeared delicate and fragile to Sebastian but now it felt as though one wrong move could shatter her in pieces. She’d lost quite a bit of weight in the past few weeks, far too much for someone in her condition. “There’s no reason to hate yourself, there’s no reason to be scared. You’re safe now, okay?” As if to prove that point, he squeezed her torso lightly then rubbed his hands up and down her upper arms to create friction; her skin was icy to the touch. Finally, after a few moments, he gave up on trying to warm her up through that means and draped his own jacket over his shoulders. “Better?” he asked, a bittersweet smile crossing over his lips as he looked her up and down as though he were afraid she’d vanish in thin air.
The next few minutes were silent between the two of them, Sebastian content to listen to the sound of Harmony’s breathing as he nestled his fingers in her hair. Finally, something good. Sebastian kept repeating this thought in his mind as he fought back on the tears forming behind his eyes, though they were happy ones. Even with all the bad stuff piling on, at least there was this to be thankful for. “I thought you were dead,” he whispered after a while. “Thank God you’re not. Please, don’t ever scare me like that ever again. Don’t scare any of us like that ever again.”
Harmony couldn’t stop the tears that came down her face as she felt Sebastian pull her into his arms. The one place that she felt that she needed to be right then was with him. Looking up at him as she felt him rubbing her arms, she closed her eyes tightly as she held onto him. Her small arms that were shaking wrapped around him trying to find that safe place that she knew was there. Her safe place. She felt herself loosing the control to hold back her crying, and she opened her eyes a little as she listened to his words. She was safe. With him she was safe, and it was okay with her right then even if she felt like everything in her world was in complete shatters of glass around her feet right then. She took in a deep breath before she closed her eyes again just resting her head on his chest.
Feeling his jacket go over her shoulders, she smiled a little. The first smile that she had given off since she had left. She felt like it was all going to be okay just as long as she had him there with her just making sure that nothing could hurt her. Looking up at him as he smiled at her, she smiled back at him. She nodded her head slowly then rested her head back on his chest again listening to his heart beat. Her breathing went in time with the beat as she held onto him. She just wanted to make sure that everything was okay before she worried about herself. She knew that there was something going on, and he looked like he was hit with a lot of stress. She only wanted to make sure that she could help in some way. Closing her eyes again she just stood there with him, as her breathing as heavy at first from not feeling well.
As he said he thought she was dead, she felt her chest hurt a little then she nodded her head as she looked up at him. “I’m so sorry.” She whispered as she looked over his face. “I’m horrible, Sebastian. You all deserve better than someone who gets scared then runs off. I understand if you all could even hate me for hurting you all or scaring you to that point. I just don’t know what came over me I am so sorry.” She whispered then reached up to cup his face in her hand. Looking over his face as if she was questioning if he were really there, she smiled a little as she looked at him. “You are my best friend, and I love you, Sheldon.” She whispered then found herself crying again as she leaned on his shoulder.

5 notesNot for the first time that week, Sebastian found himself pulling his jacket close to his torso as he attempted to shield himself from the harsh winds that blew relentlessly. It wasn’t quite winter in New York City but it might as well have been, going with how low the temperature had dropped in the last week. At least it wasn’t raining anymore, then Sebastian really would have had to go back indoors, something that was not recommended at this point in time.It was Camille, of all people, who finally told (more like demanded) Sebastian to take a walk or do something to clear his head after he phoned Claire relentlessly upon receiving her note. While he still didn’t like the girl, he appreciated that she understood how tight of a rope his mental state was right now—or more likely, she wanted him to stop calling for five goddamn minutes. Either way, after everything building up in the past three weeks, Sebastian finally acknowledged that he needed a break.
He walked about the streets without much thought, his feet working on autopilot as he walked past a blur of faceless strangers. Claire would be well taken care of for now, so he attempted to let go of those thoughts. As he passed a playground, Sebastian automatically diverted his gaze to the other side of the street. The death of Janie still stung in his heart and though he was coping much better than he had a few weeks ago, sometimes it was the little things such as a flash of long, copper hair or even a pair of ballet slippers that tore the wound open. Again, he tried to push those thoughts aside. He was trying to collect himself and those thoughts weren’t helping him any.
So Sebastian took a deep breath and trudged on, keeping his gaze fixated on the buildings far off into the distance so that he had something steady to look at. He wasn’t even going to let his thoughts wander toward—
“Why’d you have to wait, where were you? Where were you? Just a little late. You found me, you found me.”
It was the high, clear soprano voice that made Sebastian break out of his thoughts. But when he looked around, hoping to see a familiar face among the sea of strangers, he saw none. Sebastian chewed on his lower lip, nearly wanting to cry out in frustration. The search for Harmony wasn’t going too well either, despite his, Adam’s, and Blaine’s best efforts. It was like she didn’t want to be found, which was probably the case, but, damn it. He wasn’t going to let this all get to him. He absolutely refused to let go of what little hold he had on his mind. Not when so many people needed him and when so many people were willing to help him through all of this. The last thing he wanted to do was fully screw it up by letting himself fade away.
When he tried to move on, however, the voice rang in his ear once again, bringing Sebastian to a full stop. He was near an alleyway and going by the sound of it, that was where the singing came from. Something in his gut would not let him continue, not before he took a chance. Chewing on his lower lip, Sebastian cast his gaze toward the sky and silently uttered, “Just this once—don’t be a jackass. Please, just this once, let something good come out of all this.”
And with that, Sebastian took off, carefully calling out Harmony’s name while holding out his cellphone, putting it on its flashlight settings. Up ahead, he could see a petite figure slumped against the alley’s walls. “Harmony?” he asked again as he stepped forward, hoping with bated breath that his intuition proved right.
Harmony leaned against the wall as her eyes stayed closed. She wasn’t sure what she was doing anymore. She wanted more than anything to be safe again, but she missed everyone. There was a ping in her heart that she couldn’t make go away as her eyes wandered the walls once she opened them. She didn’t move as she looked at her stomach. Her hands moved slowly over it then she took in a deep breath before rubbing her eyes a little. She wanted to make the hurt stop, and sometimes she thought that if she just didn’t come around anymore they wouldn’t need her. Eventually the pain of not having her there would go away, and they would move on to being happy again. Then again she didn’t know where anything lead her anymore. She knew that they were worried, she had spotted the posters they put up.
“Missing.” With more details of course, but she just knew that she wasn’t paying too much attention. Her words went on before she looked up as she could see a light shining down the alley. She shook her head as it hurt her eyes then she looked again. Hearing the voice that came with it, she knew who it was. It was Sebastian. Her heart dropped, and instantly tears came into her eyes as she stood pressed against the wall. Did he hate her? She wasn’t sure anymore she just knew that she missed him. One deep breath, and she took a step from the wall before turning to face him. The light shining on her face as she walked closer shivering slightly from the wind that hit her hard. It cut through her like a glass, but she had forgotten about wearing a jacket.
Walking closer, she sniffled then crossed her arms over her chest as she came closer. “You found me.” She whispered as she looked up at the man that was taller than her. He looked tired. Sick. Or maybe that was just from all the worry over everything. Standing a few feet from him, she tilted her head to the side. Tears came down her face, something that she couldn’t hold back anymore. She found it almost impossible to hold it back as she looked at him. She had hurt him, why was he looking for her. He should have hated her by this point.
“I hate myself.” She whispered as she looked up at the messy haired boy. “I’m scared.” She said in a silent breath before pushing her face into her hands as she started crying. Hoping for maybe some sort of answer that she would get but wasn’t sure that she would. “I’m so sorry.”

5 notesHarmony stumbled down the streets of New York. Her fingers pushing through her hair as she looked down at herself from her view. Her small body was shaking as she ran her hands over her jeans that were ripped. Her little white tank top fit to her body as she looked down to her stomach that was showing just a little bump from being pregnant. She was all over the place, and she wasn’t sure what made much sense anymore. She ran away from something that she shouldn’t have. She ran away from her family, the only ones that she had ever known. Her hands ran over her stomach as her hands ran through her hair, and she took in a deep breath. It had been days since she had anything to eat. She mostly just had water, and she was sleeping in the hiding place that most people would hate. She hid in small areas that were good for hiding. In the alley ways. Things and places like that even if she didn’t feel safe. She had the money to stay in a hotel, but if she did they would have found her. She wasn’t really ready to go home. She couldn’t, what if they hated her at that point. Her small arms were wrapped up a little with bandages from where she slid down the side of the rocks under the bridge hurting herself without meaning to. She took in a deep breath then shook her head slowly as her eyes managed to close before she walked more down the road.
Leaning against the wall she went to the one thing she knew best when she was scared. It helped her through everything that she was going through.
“Where were you when everything was falling apart? All my days were spent by the telephone. It never rang, and all I needed was a call. That never cameon the corner first and Amistad. Lost and insecure, you found me you found me. Lying on the floor. Surround me, surrond me. Why’d you have to wait, where were you? Where were you? Just a little late. You found me, you found me.”
She sang the song as her hands ran over her stomach as her eyes closed. She leaned against the wall before taking a deep breath. She had to keep herself calm. Walking more, she looked up at the lights then turned down the next alley way. It was dark, and she wasn’t sure where it went. She was just going where it took her, and she hoped it wouldn’t get her hurt.
